C2E2 Short for the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo – is a convention spanning the latest and greatest from the worlds of comics, movies, television, toys, anime, manga and video games. From a show floor packed with hundreds of exhibitors, to panels and autograph sessions giving fans a chance to interact with their favorite creators, to screening rooms featuring sneak peeks at films and television shows months before they hit either the big or small screen, C2E2 brings the best of popular culture to downtown Chicago! That was the official blurb. In my words, just awesome. See my post about it. Loved the show!

Half Price Books This place is great I stop there ALOT. Probably more than I should but it's a great place for avid readers. They have exactly what they say, books at half the cover price but sometimes you can find hard cover best sellers for as little as $1. I have found many and I'll keep going back. Check the store locator for a location near you. Also have great deals on music and DVDs.
E Readers Site Get your Kindle ebook reader right now. Great gadget for the reader who wants to move into the future. Also has lots of Kindle related items.

There are other comic publishers, of course the big two DC and Marvel but those are known by most. For book stores and ordering on line there are the big chain stores like Barnes & Nobel and Borders but Amazon is what I use. On the purchase of books or DVDs they offer free shipping on orders that exceed $25. Whatever your fancy is, go with it and read something.
